How many kilometers long are the world’s longest rivers, really? Our guessing game ranges from comparatively short European rivers to the mighty rivers of Asia, Africa and the Americas. The lengths span anything from a few hundred to several thousand kilometers – a real challenge for anyone who loves to estimate!
Yet even the exact length of a river is not always clear-cut. Depending on where the source is placed, how the bends are measured or which tributaries and distributaries are included, the figures can vary.
